Looking for a crochet project that’s a little bit different? This adorable teddy bear bag is perfect for little ones, if you didn’t want to make a teddy bear, and are a more experienced crocheter, you could crochet different elements to add to the main body of the bag, for example a beak and some wings to make a crochet chick bag.

To Make Up

  • Place the two sides of the bag together and work a row of dc around the outside of the bag, by inserting the hook through tops of stitches on both sides of bag, (this makes a nice tidy edging to the bag) leaving 28 stitches unworked for the opening.
  • Fasten off.
  • Attach strap to each end of the opening and sew in snap fastening in centre of opening.
  • To finish off, use small amount of stuffing to pad out the nose, and attach to centre of face, then embroider mouth detail using black wool. Sew on buttons for eyes.
