How to Make Plastic Egg Easter Bunnies

Thse adorable bunny rabbits are a great project to get making this Easter. The main body of the rabbit is made using a fillable egg which splits in half making it perfect for hiding a few sweet treats. All you need to do is finish off with a pair of ears, some feet and a fluffy pom pom tail!

For a fun Easter egg hunt you could make yourself a group of bunnies along with some Easter chicks to dot around the house and the garden for little ones to find . .

How to make

  1. Make two holes for the ears by twisting sharp scissors in to the top of the egg. Fold a pipe cleaner in half and insert both ends into the holes. Pull both ends through to the centre of the egg and twist to secure in place.
  2. Insert two more pipe cleaners into the bottom of the bunny to make legs. Draw two feet shapes on grey foam. From pink foam, cut out two large and six small circles and glue them on the feet to make the paws.
  3. Poke the pipe cleaner through the bottom of the feet and put a dot of glue over the end to secure and cover the sharp edge.
  4. Cut out noses from pink felt. Glue onto the centre of the egg along with some googly eyes.
  5. Glue on the pom pom tail.
