How to Make

  1. Chop the butter and whizz in a food processor with the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs. Whizz or stir in the caster sugar, icing sugar, orange zest and vanilla essence until evenly mixed. Add the egg yolk and mix well until dough comes together. Squash dough into two flat discs. Wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out on a lightly flour dusted surface until three millimetres thick. Cut out the biscuits and put on lined baking trays. Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes. Leave to cool and decorate!
