How to Make
Step One
Edge a panel of green paper with black and stick it to your card blank. Attach an adhesive trim across the bottom of the card and punch parts of its pattern with a small hole punch.
Step Two
Use the template to cut out the stem and leaves from red card. Add some more leaves cut from patterned paper, then fix the stem to the card with sticky foam pads.
Step Three
Cut or punch circles from patterned papers. Overlap the circles and punch again to make two-colour circular petals! Repeat until you have made seven patterned paper petals.
Step Four
Score and fold two lines across each circle, using your template as a guide. Glue the edges together to form a large flower, using mini pegs to hold it together while it dries.
Step Five
Add black patterned circles around the edge of your flower. Use sticky foam pads to attach the flower at the top of the stem – add them behind each petal and the flower centre.
Step Six
Stack two buttons and sew them together with a needle and thread, securing with a knot at the back. Finish by sticking the buttons in the centre of your 3D flower.
Top Tip!
Turn your circle punch upside down when making the funky two-colour petals – this makes it easier to see where the punch will cut and helps to avoid waste!
