- Paint Brushes, including Fine Brush »
- White pencil
1. Paint the mache truck in green and red acrylic paint and allow to dry. Repeat with a second coat and allow to dry. 2. Paint the black and white details with acrylic paint and allow to dry. Repeat with a second coat and allow to dry.
3. Print out the name to be personalised in large font. Cut out each individual letter to use as a template to draw around. Position the letters on to the side of the truck. When you are happy with their position, draw around the outline with a sharp white pencil.
4. Use a fine paint brush and white acrylic to paint each letter – you’ll need a steady hand here. Leave to dry. Allow all paint to dry completely.
5. Next, cover the name in PVA glue and shake on gold glitter. Leave to dry, then shake off – you may need to use a soft paintbrush to gently brush away glitter near the design. 6. Cut two wiggly strips of white felt for snow and glue to the top of the truck.
7. Make a small tower of snow balls from mini pompoms and glue next to Santa. 8. Apply a thin layer of glue to both sides of the top of the truck, on top of the lights and the wheel arches, and sprinkle with red glitter. Allow to dry, then shake off any excess glitter. 9. Use a white paint pen to write the numbers on to the doors.
