How to Make

1. Decorate the outside of the frame, along with the internal frame, with two coats of craft paint and leave to dry.

2. Apply patterned cardstock with double-sided tape to the inside of the backboard.

3. Using the two smallest nesting dies and coloured cardstock create ‘sets’ of hearts – one ‘set’ consists of four die cut hearts – I cut 16 small and four large shapes to create a total of one large and four small 3D confetti hearts. Repeat this process for each colour of cardstock you intend to use.

4. To construct the 3D confetti, fold each of the hearts in half (a paper creaser might come in handy here to ensure crisp folds). Take four identical hearts and apply double-sided tape to the back of two, secure untaped halves to taped ones, lining up the edges, to create a 3D form. Repeat this process until you have enough hearts to fill half of the frame.

5. Cut your greeting from glitter paper and a complimentary plain card, apply to the front of the frame using double-sided tape. If the font you’re using is particularly intricate or thin, a glue pen is ideal. I used fonts and designs available on the Cricut Design space, however you could hand draw your message or even use alphabet dies.
