How To Make a Christmas Jumper Bottle Cover
Fed up of buying the same old gift bag for your presents? Why not mix it up and make this mini Christmas jumper bottle cover. It will add the extra special to any bottle.
With yarn A and 4mm needles cast on 27 sts.
Work in 1×1 rib for 4 rows
Begin working in pattern as follows:
Row 1: K1, work pattern, k1
Row 2: P1, work pattern P1
Continue until 15 rows of pattern have been worked
Row 16 (RS): Cast on 18 sts, k19, work pattern, k1
Row 17 (WS): Cast on 18 sts, p19, work pattern, p19
Continue until pattern is complete
Continue to work straight until work measures 14cm from cast on edge.
Next row (RS): Work 26sts, cast off 11sts, work remaining 26 sts
Next row (WS): Work 26sts, cast on 11sts, work remaining 26sts
Continue to work straight until work measures 10cm from beginning of the sleeve
Next row (RS): Cast off 18sts, work to end
Next row (WS): Cast off 18sts, work to end
Continue to work straight until work measures 7cm from cast off edge of sleeve.
Work 4 rows in 1×1 rib
Cast off all sts
Fold the jumper in half with neck opening in the center with RS together. Using mattress st, sew underarm and side seams together.
Sew in all ends.
