How To Crochet Bunny Plant Pot Covers

Make a family of bunny plant pot covers to get yourself in the mood for spring! These cute plant pot covers are a super simple crochet make, suitable for beginners thanks to their straightforward stitch pattern. 

You Will Need Abbreviations

Ch- chain

Htr – half treble crochet

Ss- slip stitch

Pattern Note – this pattern is worked in a spiral so it is essential to mark each round.

Using 4mm hook ch26 and join into the round

Round 1: 1htr into each st

Round 2 to 5: 1htr into each st

Round 6: (2htr into st, 5htr) repeat until 8 sts remain, 2htr into st, 7htr

Round 7 to 8: 1htr into each st

Fasten off

Ears (make 2)

Using 4mm hook ch 8 and join into round

Round 1 to 3: 1htr into each st, ss into 1st st

Round 4: (2htr into st, 2htr, 2htr into st) repeat (12sts)

Round 5: 1htr into each st, ss into 1st st

Round 6: (2htr into st, 4htr, 2htr into st)repeat (16sts)

Round 7: (htr2tog into st, 4htr, htr2tog into st) repeat (12sts)

Round 8: (htr2tog into st, 2htr, htr2tog into st) repeat (8sts)

Round 7: (2htr into st, 5htr, 8htr into st)repeat (24sts)

Round 11: 1htr into each st, ss into 1st st

Fasten off, using tail sew the cast off edge together

Making up

Lay the pot cover flat and place the centre point of each ear at the cast off edge on each side. Sew into place.

Using the photo as a guide using the scrap black and pink wool, sew the eyes and nose using back stitch.
