Fun times at the WI Knit and Natter at The Good Life Experience
Last weekend the WI got their needles ready and headed off to ‘The Good Life Experience‘ which is a festival run by Cerys Matthews in Chester.
WI Knit and Natter at The Good Life Experience
Knitcraft donated two huge boxes of yarn, needles and hooks so that the WI ladies could host pop up knit and natter workshops where they taught the public to knit. They were getting the knitters to create Twiddle Muffs as a part of the WI’s new resolution to support carers of those with dementia. It looked liked the ladies had a great weekend and the organisers Joanne Croxford (Rising Roses WI, Huntingdon and Peterborough Federation) and Sarah Willoughby (Seven Hill’s WI, South Yorkshire Federation) were really impressed at the amount of festival goers who came along to help support people living with dementia. Many also shared personal stories about family members living with the disease.
