Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a handmade card. You can be as extravagant or as simple as you like in your design, why not use alphabet stickers? These are great if you’ve not got the best handwriting in the world, plus the really quick and easy to apply.

How to Make a Valentine’s Love Card

Suitable for: Beginners

How to make

  1. Apply two parallel lines of border tape to the card front.
  2. Glue a strip of card over the top. Make sure it’s slightly wider than the gap and conceals the tape edges. Leave to dry.
  3. Apply the letters to the front of the card just off centre.

How to Make a Heart Window Card

Suitable for: Beginners

You will need

How to make

  1. Draw a heart in pencil onto the card and cut out to form a window.
  2. Decorate a scrap of card (large enough to fit behind the window) with ribbons and borders then glue in place; sticky foam pads will make it more three dimensional.
  3. Write a sentiment onto red paper, round the end, then glue into place.
  4. Add a dotted pen decoration border to the window and add a few buttons to finish.
