Victoria Kenny was our deserved winner this month with her amazing bridal tiara creation. Celebrity crafter and guest judge, Stephanie Weightman, commented that :

‘This month I’m really pleased to announce Victoria as the winner! This is a beautiful piece of head jewellery, it’s hard to believe it’s handmade! It just goes to show that with the right tools you can create stunning, intricate works of art that have been lovingly created. I can imagine just how proud and impressed you would be after creating such a beautiful piece – alongside with the satisfaction of saving so much money! To me that is the beauty of crafting.’

Here’s what the winner told us about their make :

“I was inspired to make my tiara after falling in love with a similar style at a wedding show, but realising the item was £600 I swiftly took it off my head, it was sooooo far out of my budget!!! After browsing around Hobbycraft looking for ribbon etc for the wedding I stumbled into the bead area! :O With a little bit of research I purchased a head band, beads, wire & a multi tool for wire work & set off on my project. It took quite a few hours (most of which was sitting in front of the TV, relaxing), but was so worth it and I enjoyed it so much I made matching hair pins for the bridesmaids and pins for the mothers’ corsages. I had tons of compliments and lots of people asking where they could get one. And the best bit… It cost me about £25 and some of my time.”
