How to Make a Giant Pompom Bonnet
Pompoms aren’t just for winter woollies! Bring them into spring with this Giant Pompom Bonnet, ready for your Easter celebrations. Using tissue paper in a fun assortment of spring colours, you’ll be able to add a pomtastic twist to the time-honoured tradition of bonnet-making.
1. Take a sheet of tissue paper and fold it in half. Concertina fold the tissue paper.
2. Use sticky tape or glue to attach one end of the folded tissue paper to the side of the hat.
3. Gently prize the folded tissue apart to form a pom pom. Repeat this process all the way around the side of the hat so that the entire hat is covered with paper pom poms.
5. Cut two lengths of ribbon to tie a bow under the chin. Attach to either side of the inside of the hat with glue.
Attach a good amount of pom poms to completely fill the hat and make it sturdy. Puff and scrunch the tissue pom poms to fill any spaces.
