How to Make
  1. First of all we need to make a template.  Take the Graph Paper and using the squares as a template, draw a rectangle nine squares across by 16 squares up.  Then draw a point in the centre from the top (4.5 squares in) at five squares up. Alternatively you can just draw this straight onto paper using centimetres (9×16).  Cut it out.How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  2. Cut two pieces of fabric, one will be the outside of the envelope and the other will be the lining. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  3. Place your fabric right side to right side and sew together, leaving an inch at the bottom to enable you to turn it right way in again. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  4. Once sewn, snip off the corners and the top of the triangle (take care not to snip your stitches though) so it makes a neater finish once turned. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  5. Turn your work the right side out and iron it flat. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  6. Stitch a neat line right across the bottom where the open part was. Try and get your stitches as close to the edge as you can.How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  7. Then fold the bottom part up to where the point starts and pin it in place. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  8. Starting at the bottom corner, sew a neat top stitch line close to the edge all the way around. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  9. Your little envelope should now look like this. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  10. Hand sew one of the little wooden hearts to the point of the envelope and a press stud underneath to fasten. Now go and make another 23 little envelopes. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
  11. Take your cord, and leaving a little at the end to tie a loop for hanging, attach the cord just inside the flap of an envelope with a few tiny stitches. Secure the other side with a few tiny stitches too. No need to stitch all the way along. How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing

  13. Add your other envelopes leaving a small space of around one centimetre in-between each one.How to Make Fabric Advent Bunting #advent #christmas #sewing
