How to Make Chocolate Bark
If you don’t fancy having a go at making a whole chocolate egg for Easter, but still want to give something handmade, chocolate bark is a fun and easy way to make a yummy handmade gift – plus with so many colours and decorations to choose from, it looks pretty impressive too!
Skill Level : Beginners
Time to Make : 15 – 30 minutes
- 200 g Candy Melts » in blue, light cocoa and white
1. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Melt the three different coloured Candy Melts in separate bowls in the microwave.
Melt the Candy Melts in 20 second increments, stirring each time to avoid scorching them.
2. Drop spoonfuls of the Candy Melts onto the paper covered tray and, working quickly, use a cocktail stick to swirl the colours together.
Don’t overdo this part or the colours will mix into a muddy colour.
3. Decorate the top of your bark with a selection of chocolate eggs, Easter decorations and sprinkles.
You can break or cut up your chocolate bark and present it in gift boxes or cellophane bags tied with pretty ribbons.
