If you want to take your cakes to the next level of cake decorating, creating models from icing is a great place to start.

There are lots of different colours to choose from, enabling you to pretty much make whatever you like!

This sugarcraft crocodile is perfect for a celebration cake or any budding zoologist, and is a great beginners project to start off with if you’ve not made any models with icing before.

How to Make a Sugarcraft Crocodile

Suitable for: Beginners

You will need

How to make

1. Make four pea-sized pieces for the feet. Roll each to make a small cone. Flatten slightly. Mark the toes with a knife.

2. To make the eyes, take one small pea-sized piece of green, press on a slightly smaller ball of white, then press on an even smaller ball of black. Cut the whole ball in half across the top.

3. Use the rest of the green paste to form a long pointed carrot shape for the body. The pointed end will form the tail. Roll the fatter end of the body between your fingers to form the head, and flatten it slightly.
