How to Make an Elephant Baby Girl Card

You will need

How to make

  1. Cut and fold white cardstock to create a 16 centimetre square card. Cut a piece of purple cardstock to 15.5 centimetre square and mat onto the front of the card.
  2. Cut a piece of lime cardstock to 13 centimetre square and mat onto white cardstock. Trim around the edge, leaving a 5 millimetre border. Using a black pen add a stitched cross effect around the edge of the card.
  3. Cut two starlight circles – one from white cardstock and one from purple cardstock. Mat the purple circle to the centre of the card and then insert the inside ‘waste’ from the white circle, saving the circle die cut for another project.
  4. Cut ‘Baby Girl’ from lime cardstock. Spray with permanent adhesive and sprinkle with crystal glitter. Tap away the excess and mat onto the front of the card as shown.
  5. Cut two elephants – one from lime cardstock and one from patchwork cardstock. Working with the patchwork elephant first, trim away his tuft of hair, legs and also the tail, but keeping the bow from the tail. Mat the patchwork elephant over the top of the lime elephant along with the bow.
  6. Add stitched cross effect around the patchwork elephant and add a black pearl for the eye. Mat to the front centre of the card.
