How to Make a 3D Chocolate Egg
Go one better than a hollow chocolate egg this Easter, and create some three dimensional eggs. These fantastic moulds can be used to create amazing 3d shapes out of chocolate, candy melts or even biscuit, depending on where your sweet tooth lies!
- Saucepan and glass mixing bowl
- Cocktail stick
1. Begin by melting the chocolate in an appropriate bowl over a saucepan of hot water as shown. Once the chocolate has melted, turn off the stove and use oven gloves to remove the bowl from the saucepan.
2. Place the moulds onto a flat surface and begin to carefully spoon the chocolate into the mould.
Top Tip!…You may wish to pre-grease the moulds before spooning in the chocolate.
3. Leave the chocolate to cool and when hard pop out the chocolate and begin to assemble.
Top Tip!… Ensure the mould is full, if required you may use a cocktail stick to stir the chocolate to remove any trapped air bubbles.
