Rainbow Pillow 06

You Will Need Abbreviations

ch: chain,

cm: centimetres,

dc: double crochet,

ss: slip stitch,

st(s): stitch(es),

Gauge:

The gauge is not too important for this pattern but you want to keep the stitches fairly tight so that the stuffing doesn’t show through.

Finished Size: 13cm x 11cm

Pattern Notes:

The first row of a colour change is worked in the front loops only of the row before, this is to form a neat line at the colour change on the right side of the piece.

Make the second piece the same as the first.  There is no need to sew in the ends at this stage as you will be using them to stitch the two pieces together.

Place both pieces right side down on a table and match the ends of the Rainbows together.  The right side is the one with the line at each colour change.  Use the yarn ends to stitch the two pieces together at the Rainbow ends only.

You now have a large donut shaped piece.  Fold the right sides together and using Raspberry, stitch the top (pink) edge of the Rainbow all the way round.  Turn the right side out.

Stuff the pillow.  I found it easiest to get a good amount in first but then add more as you are stitching up to make it nice and firm.

Using Passionfruit, stitch the bottom (purple) edge of the Rainbow together using the spare loops from the starting chain.  Sew in the ends and you’re ready to relax in style!
