Combine new, shop-bought pieces with interesting bits from car boot sales and charity shops to make something truly original. To store your delicate jewellery and stop tangling, it’s best to hang pieces on hooks or a jewellery stand. Alternatively, use little organza bags to separate each item.

  1. Attach the trigger clasp to the end of the chain with jump rings and pliers.
  2. Attach a long key charm to the middle of the chain.
  3. Add beads on the eyepins either side of this then alternate with charms and beads, using shorter pieces towards the ends of the chain.

  2. At evenly spaced distances, alternate between beads and charms along the chain.
  3. Multiple beads can be attached on eyepins then secured to the chain using pliers.
