Artist of the Year 2017

compeition

To celebrate the launch of our fantastic half price art sale», we are once again running our artist of the year competition – and this time, it’s open to everybody!

Last year we held our first Student Artist of the Year award and received tons of amazing entries, but there could only be one winner – and that was Rachel Ward! Learn all about Rachel and her artwork in her meet the artist » post.

As we had so many great entries last year, we decided to open up the competition this year to all ages, and run it in three categories -youth, student and adult. This means you can be judged with people of a similar level, and also means we will have 3 wonderful winners overall!

The competition runs from 3rd August to 14th September, so make sure to get your entry in before the closing date and read the terms and conditions » before entering.

What can you win?

Each winner will receive the following:

  • Glass ‘Artist of the Year 2017’ trophy
  • £200 Hobbycraft gift voucher

I have uploaded a clear image of my artwork through the blog, even though hobbycraft posted my artwork image from my Instagram account, hope it doesn’t count as 2 entries. Coz its the same artwork. I uploaded coz i felt the Instagram image posted in the gallery didn’t do justice to my artwork.

Does the artwork have to be a drawing/painting piece? I am a bead and wire artist and would love to enter but don’t know if what I do will count? Thanks.
